Ralph Edward Boerner, 82, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at his home in Pilot Point, TX. He was born August 10, 1940, in Pilot Point, TX to Edward and Alma Pauline “Polly” (Riney) Boerner. He was a 1958 graduate of Pilot Point High School. He married Mildred Fischer on October 14, 1961. Ralph served in the United States Army for 2 years (1966-1968). During this time, he was a Specialist 4 in the 250th General Hospital at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Ralph owned and operated the Golden Triangle Meat and Locker Plant in Pilot Point, TX for 17 years. He served on several Chamber of Commerce committees. After selling his business in 1992, he worked 12 years at Boeing in Denton, TX. Throughout his life, Ralph enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He was a life-long member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where he was in the St. Thomas Men’s Club and served on the Parish Council. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ralph is survived by his wife, Mildred of Pilot Point, TX; daughter, Kellie and husband Jason Lowe of Frisco, TX; grandson, Jack Edward Lowe of Frisco, TX; brother, Gerald and wife Debbie Boerner of Pilot Point, TX; four sisters, Louise and husband Wayne Triplett, of Pilot Point, TX, Reba Masengale of Tioga, TX, Debbie and husband Mark Wilkinson of Little Elm, TX, Mary Nell and husband Dan Cogburn of Gainesville, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents Edward and Alma and nephew, Tommy Boerner. Rosary will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 6:30PM at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with visitation to follow from 7:00PM to 8:00PM. Mass is Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 11:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point, TX. Pallbearers are Joey Boerner, Bobby Parrent, Curtis Fischer, Dustin Ballard, Donnie Henzler, and Jason Lowe.
