Brett Patrick Crombie, 37, of Little Elm passed from this life on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his residence. Brett was born August 4, 1975 in Vancouver, Washington. He worked as an air traffic control specialists for the past eleven years. Prior to that, he had worked for the Seattle Mariners, United Airlines, Air Wisconsin, and Southwest Airlines. Brett married Heather Ann Beeman on September 15, 1995 in Kent, Washington. They were blessed with two children, Jacob and Camden. While working with the Seattle Mariners, Brett met and became lifelong friends with Dennis Schultz. Brett and Heather loved to travel and share the world with their children and each other. They have traveled extensively and lived in the Northwest, where Brett grew up, plus Wisconsin, San Antonio, and Little Elm. Brett enjoyed spending time with his children teaching and nurturing them, and even coached Camden's baseball team when Camden was twelve. He was an avid sports fan and a very loyal Seahawks, Mariners and Husky fan. He loved airplanes and airline information in general along with trains and cruise lines. He had a dream of becoming a pilot of a cruise line. Brett joined the Southwest Airlines family and truly enjoyed the "LUV" of the Southwest Airline family and the opportunities he had to share the "LUV" with all he came in contact with. Brett possessed a love of life and shared his joy and laughter and wit with others willingly. His love of the Lord has shined through and emanated to his children for them to take with them as they live their lives for Christ. He has been a shining example of what a loving, caring, kind hearted father and husband should be. His sense of humor was his most loved and enjoyed quality and will be missed. We know our home will never be the same without it, but we have committed to do our best to continue the love, laughter, and sarcasm that will honor his memory and make him proud. He is survived by his wife, Heather of Little Elm; sons, Jacob and Camden of Little, Elm; mother, Sharon Crombie of Seattle, Washington, and uncle, Mel Johnson of Seattle, Washington. A memorial service celebrating the life of Brett is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Cross Ridge Church in Little Elm beginning at 2:00 p.m. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Brett Crombie Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
