Debe Dionna Warner (James) of Azle, Tx, passed away from this life on January 6, 2024, in Pilot Point, Tx after a courageous fight against cancer. She spent her final days surrounded by loved ones. Her bravery in the face of a terrible illness was truly remarkable. Even when she was at her lowest points, she would muster a smile and warm greeting for whoever came to visit. Debe was born in Odessa, TX on November 21, 1972, to Deberah Kay Holsworth (Patterson) and Willie Elton James. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a wife, and for some unknown reason a Steelers fan. Growing up Debe participated and excelled in softball, gymnastics, debate, and cheerleading. She was notoriously outgoing and outspoken. You never had to ask if Debe was somewhere as she could be heard long before she was seen. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and part of the family or group. Debe married the love of her life, Steve Warner, on February 1, 2020, in Orange Beach, AL. The love she had for Steve became the center point of her life, and what she clung to for strength in her battle with cancer. Debe possessed a zeal for life, her family, and her friends. She will be fondly remembered as a person whose light shined bright both in good times and bad. She is survived by her husband, Steve Warner of Azle, TX; Grandmother, Irene Holsworth of Rapid City, SD; mother, Deberah Holsworth and stepfather Jerry Holsworth of Pilot Point, TX; brothers Jason James of Pilot Point, TX, Justin Holsworth and his wife, Michelle of Aurora, TX; sister, Kristin Humphries and her husband Chad of Pilot Point, Tx; nephews, Carson James, Keaton Holsworth, and Cort Humphries; nieces, Callie James, Preslee Holsworth, and Whitney Humphries; brother-in-law, Dennis Warner and his wife Kim of Oklahoma City, OK; brother-in-law, Darrell Warner and his wife Jeannie of Cour D’ Alene, ID; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Debe was preceded in death by her father, Willie Elton James; grandparents, Boyd and Fannie James, Frank, and Mary Patterson, and Junior Holsworth The family plans to have a private family service later at Debe’s favorite childhood place, her Mamaw & Papa’s Lake LBJ property.
