Gerlanny (Ge) Monteiro Garcia, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, in Aubrey Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family. Gerlanny (Ge) was born on November 18,1952 in Pernambuco, Brazil. She was the daughter of Afonso Garcia De Medeiros and Guiomar Monteiro De Medeiros. She was the youngest of seven children. She moved to the United States from Brazil in 2001 with her youngest son (Yuri), to continue her journey and passion for cooking. Gerlanny (Ge) was a joyful and passionate woman who cared for everyone, she always put God first, and loved her family and friends immensely. She enjoyed sharing her love for others through her delicious cooking and loved sharing her life stories growing up in Brazil. She made many wonderful friends throughout her lifetime, both in Brazil and the United States. She was a beautiful and happy soul whose mission was to help anyone she could. Her smile was contagious, and she will forever be remembered. Gerlanny (Ge) is survived by her sons: Yuri Garcia (and his fiance Desiree DeLeon) and Afonso Andre Garcia Da Rocha (and his wife Maria Jose Da Silva), and her granddaughters Julianna Garcia and Raissa Garcia. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her siblings Ajomar Garcia, Galba Garcia, Guione Garcia, Alexandre Garcia, Jose Garcia, and Almir Garcia. Viewing and services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday July 22, 2023 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com. Ela estava cercada por sua família em seus últimos momentos. Gerlanny (Ge) nasceu em 18 de novembro de 1952 em Pernambuco, Brasil. Era filha de Afonso Garcia De Medeiros e Guiomar Monteiro De Medeiros. Ela era a caçula de sete filhos. Ela se mudou do Brasil para os Estados Unidos em 2001 com seu filho mais novo (Yuri), para continuar sua jornada e paixão pela culinária. Gerlanny (Ge) era uma mulher alegre e apaixonada que cuidava de todos, sempre colocava Deus em primeiro lugar e amava imensamente sua família e amigos. Ela gostava de compartilhar seu amor pelos outros através de sua deliciosa culinária e adorava compartilhar suas histórias de vida crescendo no Brasil. Ela fez muitos amigos maravilhosos ao longo de sua vida, tanto no Brasil quanto nos Estados Unidos. Ela era uma alma linda e feliz cuja missão era ajudar quem ela pudesse. Seu sorriso era contagiante e ela será lembrada para sempre. Gerlanny (Ge) deixa os filhos: Yuri Garcia (e sua noiva Desiree DeLeon) e Afonso Andre Garcia Da Rocha (e sua esposa Maria Jose Da Silva), e suas netas Julianna Garcia e Raissa Garcia. Ela foi precedida na morte por sua mãe e pai, assim como seus irmãos Ajomar Garcia, Galba Garcia, Guione Garcia, Alexandre Garcia, Jose Garcia e Almir Garcia.
