Gladys Dorothy Schwartz, (known to her family as Dotsy) of Denton, TX, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 after a short battle with Covid19, at the age of 91. She was born July 25, 1928 in Cameron, TX to James Walter Harris and Ella Dorothy (Boenker) Harris. Dorothy married Albert Charlie Schwartz on June 23, 1956 in Houston, TX. Dorothy was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the fall of 1953. She loved telling others about her God, Jehovah, and remained faithful to her death. Many will remember her big smile, her big loving hugs, and as an avid letter writer due to a hearing disability she had since birth. Though she lived in many places in Texas, she spent the most time in Waco and considered that her home. She spent her last two and a half years in the Vintage Nursing Home and was well cared for by many loving nurses and aids. Dorothy is survived by her brother, William (Bill) Harris; two sons, Jim Schwartz and wife Janet, and Jonathan Schwartz and wife Julie; daughter, Becky Muns, and husband Carlton; grandchildren, Justin Schwartz and wife Candace, Travis Muns and wife Rocio, Jenna Philllips and husband Jimmy, Mallory Muns, Clinton Logan, and Matthew Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Andrea Jimenez, Mariela Muns, Javier Muns, Jack Brown, Madelynn Ramos, Mason Brown, Laney Schwartz, Emma Schwartz, Luke Schwartz, and Logan Muns; nephew, Walt Harris Jr. and wife Sandra; niece, Dava Turman and husband Gill; special friends, Dee Nieman and Vicki York; and a number of great neices and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, James (Bud) and Dorothy (Dot); brother, Walter Harris; and sister, Patsy Baker.
