Holly Gail Sparkman, 50, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in Denton, TX. Holly was born September 24, 1971 in Denton, TX to Sonny and Gail Gibbs. Holly married Steve Sparkman, Jr. on August 4, 2012, in Pilot Point, TX. If you were in Holly’s world then you were loved! She knew that “love’ was returned. She cherished her family and adored each one from Steve, Jordi, Madi, Sonny, Gail, Nanny and Pa. Her cats, The Spice Girls, Nutmeg “Mega”, and Paprika “Little”, were spoiled and doted on. For Holly her friends were really her family and she treated them as such. Holly took pleasure in cooking for anyone and for every event. She was excellent at home cooking. She collected cookbooks and cookie cutters and she fancied Dr. Pepper quite a bit. Holly also liked sports. She was a revered fan of Texas Tech and the Red Raiders Football, Texas Rangers Baseball, and the Pilot Point Bearcat’s High School Football team. Holly was a charter member of Midway Baptist, and member of Mustang Baptist. She delighted in her walk with Christ. She was passionate about music and was very fond of Southern Gospel, Randy Travis, and Bluegrass. Holly truly enjoyed Christmas and what it represented. She loved her Savior more than anything. As a true believer in Christ, Holly will celebrate Christmas this year in the most wonderful place of all, with her Lord, and she will join with many others in praising her King. Her family and friends will miss her and all the special ways she gave them memories to cherish, but they will delight in knowing she is with her Savior now. Holly is survived by her husband, Steve; parents, Sonny and Gail; Daughters, Jordi Cox, and Madi Cox; mother-in-law, Sharon Sparkman; brother-in-law, Scott Sparkman and family; and sister-in-law, Shannon McCarty and family. Holly was preceded in death by father-in-law, Steve Sparkman, Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Barney (Pa), and Leatha (Nanny) Gibbs. Visitation will be 11:00AM-12:00PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Midway Church in Pilot Point, TX. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, with Kenny Guthrie officiating.
