Felicia Taiye Farounbi was born on March 19, 1958 to the family of pa Joseph Makanjuola and Mama Serah Idowu Abioye (Nee Gbenjo) of Ile-Asegi Compound of Erin-ile, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. She was born to a trader mother and a father who was well known in the furniture business. Her parents ensured that she received an education and started off at St. Mathias Primary School, Erin-Ile, Oyun Local Government of Kwara State, Nigeria. After primary school, she moved to the city of Ilorin to live and assist her aunt. She later went to the Staff Development Center Ilorin, Kwara State for her training as an Administrative Assistant. Mama Felicia married Chief George Oluwakayode Farounbi of Ora Compound in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State on May 25, 1977. Over the years, she has worked with several ministries under the Kwara State Government and later joined the Federal Training Center, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. She gracefully retired from the service of the Nigerian government before moving to the United States of America in 2021. She is survived by her husband; children, Raphael Farounbi and wife Ajibike of Huntsville, AL, Comfort George and husband Charles of Little Elm, TX, Abosede Farounbi and husband Ewalomi of Huntsville, AL, and Kehinde Omotola and husband Kolawole of Huntsville, AL; grand-children, Ikeoluwa Farounbi, Imisioluwa Farounbi, Chanan George, Tami George, Tiara George, Eyiwunmi Omotola, and Bolanle Omotola; brothers; sisters; and cousins. May her soul Rest in Peace. Services will be held 2:00PM, Friday, July 29, 2022 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. Burial will follow at Slay-Bloomfield-Jones Cemetery in Mountain Springs, TX.
