Mr. Frank Sampson, aka (Fifi), 76, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 in Aubrey, TX. He was born on October 18, 1940 in Essikado Ghana to Joseph Graves Sampson and Elizabeth Cudjue. He was the sixth of seven children. Frank married Fanella Cudjoe on February 18, 1997 in Hot Springs, AR. Frank was preceded by five siblings prior to his death.Frank attended Ketan Roman Primary School, Ketan Roman Middle School, and Norman Technical Secondary School. Upon completing his studies in Cape Coast University, he went on to teach at Accra Technical Training Center. He moved to the United States and continued to further his education by attending Temple University and The University of Houston. He worked for Cargill Steel for thirty-one years in both Houston and Tulsa where he retired. He moved to Dallas, TX until his death on November 27, 2016.Frank Sampson was an active member of The Benevolent Society (Mboa Kuo) of Ghana and Tegloma Association of Sierra Leone.Frank Sampson was a wonderful, thoughtful, and caring man who always kept you in touch with reality. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His wisdom was always able to provide you with a different attitude for life. Whether it was marriage, buying a car or home, he always had something inspiring to add. He always kept family first and worked hard to bring everyone together by hosting birthdays, thanksgiving, and other holidays. There was never a frown on his face for he was a joyful and pleasant man. He was a jokester. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality he was loved by many. Frank Sampson was the trunk of our family tree that his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were connected by. His love for GOD allowed him to return to his faith, where he was baptized and then remarried his wife of twenty years in the Catholic religion. A strong tree has fallen and he forever will be greatly missed. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Frank is survived by his wife, Fanella C. Sampson; daughter, Terry Graves Sampson; two sons, Franklin Graves Sampson and Corey Graves Sampson; step-daughters, Estella Jalloh, Dr. Osmunda Jones, and Minella Britton; grandchildren, Ray Ofosu, Judy Ofosu, Cameron Sampson, Emerie Sampson, Erielle Sampson, George Graves Sampson, and Roselyn Brago Sampson; step-grandchildren, Syerra Jones, Mariama Jalloh, Sariah Britton, Rashid Jalloh, Kyndall Jones, and Todd Britton III; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Ofosu, Elijah Ofosu, and Ainslee Ofosu; sister, Eunice Graves Sampson (Accra Ghana); nephews and nieces, Patricia Graves Sampson, Peter Imbeah, Alexander Cobbold, Rosemary Graves Manu (Canada), Maud Kennedy, Samuel Ahun Amu Jnr., Sophia Sagoe, Mrs. Veronics Abiana Nelson Laryea, Mrs. Cecilia Awoo, Faustina Rhule, Dorothy Harding, and Emmanuel Graves Sampson.The chief mourners are Africa Abiradze of Elmina, Abusuapanyin Nana De Bores, Abusuapanyin Nana Ama Nana III, John Payne, Okyeame Arkorn of Bronybina, Mrs. Myres (Tema Nana Adjoah Katsina), Mr. & Mrs. Sante, Asante Bakery (Accra), and Madam Hannah Ahun Amu (Director, Good Shepherd Farm and Transport).He is also survived by his cousins, Madam Hannah Ahun Amu (Accra), Madam Elizabeth Ahun Amu (Takoradi), Madam Nana Sackey (Cape Coast), Mrs. Veronica Antoe, Prince Annan (Accra), Mr. Kobbina Dadson Bros & Sis, Mr. Anthony McCauley (USA), Mrs. Grace Whittler (Accra), Mrs. Dickson Nunoo (Accra), and Madam Theresa Mensah (Kumasi).“IT IS WELL” because he accomplished all he wanted to before leaving this world. To God be the glory – he did not suffer.We have been married for nineteen years, nine months, and nine days. You will be greatly missed. I no longer have a shopping partner. I love you and I will always continue to do so.I want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for being in my children’s lives as if they were your own. You helped each and every one of them to achieve their goals and was always there for them. You helped them be what they are today – I am THANKFUL. We will never forget you. You will be visited as often as possible. We will miss you greatly. May your place in God’s kingdom be blessed. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX.
