John Paul Sitzes, farmer, rancher and rural mail carrier, was born November 21, 1931 on the farm in Pilot Point, Cooke County Texas to Wayne and Virgie Wooten Sitzes. He was a 1948 graduate of Pilot Point High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He married Ann Newton April 27, 1956 in Oklahoma. Paul loved flea markets and was always up for a trade. He is survived by his wife, Ann of Pilot Point; daughters, Paulette and husband Darrell Coxsey of Valley View, Gay Patterson of Pilot Point, Patti and husband Steve Dellenbaugh of Pilot Point; grandchildren, Mindy Patterson, Wes and wife Susie Patterson, Nick Schindler, Jenna and husband Fredy Rivas, Daniel and wife Chelsey Schindler, Megan and husband Johnny Noland; sister, Virginia Ramsey of Pilot Point; great grandchildren, Jonathan and Anna Maziarz, Jake and Emma Patterson, Charlee and Trace Noland, Lillie, Maddie, Brie and Evie Rivas, Preslee, Grady, and Brayden Schindler and Shelby Witcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene, Billy Joe, Harold, Earl; and son-in-law, Johnny Patterson. Visitation will be held at the Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM. A funeral service honoring Paul’s life will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Pilot Point First United Methodist Church at 10:00AM.
