Judith Ann Rankin was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 23, 1943. She was the only child to Edward and Madeline Rushik. She passed away July 12, 2022. Judy attended high school at Cedar Cliff High School in New Cumberland, PA. After her graduation in 1961 she worked for Bell telephone. In August of 1964, she met the love of her life Paul (Pete) Rankin. They were married 3 months later on November 21, 1964. In 1967, they moved to Waynesboro, VA. They lived in Virginia until 2017. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. They moved to Texas 5 years ago. The last 10 years Judy and Pete enjoyed cruising and traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and many other amazing places. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church. She is survived by her husband, Pete; two daughters, Kristy Rankin Gallaher and Kelly Rankin Wiegert; five grandchildren who called her "Nana": Madeline Wiegert Whitt, Kaitlyn Gallaher, Trent Wiegert, Richard Gallaher, and Megan Wiegert; as well as a host of loving friends. A service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00pm at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. On-line condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
