Leo Ray Fore, 94, of Pilot Point, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in Pilot Point. He was born July 24, 1920 in Bloomfield Community, TX to E.R. and Lydia (Carroll) Fore. Leo married VaLeria Goodger on December 16, 1939 in McKinney. Leo served as a Baptist Deacon for 50 years, was a song leader for 30 years, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He lived near Pilot Point for 82 years. Leo was a stonemason, carpenter, farmer, and worked at Texas Women's University as an electrician for 16 years. He was in the United States Army under General Douglas MacArthur, serving in the Philippines and Korea. He is survived by his daughter Pamela (Fore Norris) and husband Wendell Moseley of Pilot Point. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; wife, VaLeria; and son-in-law, Bo Norris. Visitation will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, September 13, 2014 with a graveside service following at 10:30AM at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Buddy Owens, Jimmy Law, and Joe David Gist will officiate.
