    Lonnie Bruce Thompson

    November 12, 1956 - December 15, 2013

    Bruce was a much loved son, brother, father and papa. He greatly loved the Lord and served Him faithfully these last few years. He cherished his grandchildren and did not want to leave them. He was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene, Dallas, TX where he served as a trustee and supervisor of church landscaping. He was born in San Angelo, TX then lived in the Rio Grande Valley and Victoria before moving to Dallas. He graduated from Brian Adams High School in '76. He was married to his wife, Maria McLeod, for 17 years and they had two children, Michael and Stacy. He was a land surveyor for a number of years and then self-employed as a handy man. He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Lee Thompson. He is survived by his son Michael Thompson of Dallas, daughter Stacy Espinosa of Fort Worth as well as two brothers, Jim Thompson of Arlington and Dennis Thompson of Pilot Point, a sister Shirley Mitchell of Bridgeport and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Central Church of the Nazarene in Dallas with Dr. Tim White officiating.
