    Marcella Hedwig Koerner

    October 25, 1930 - September 13, 2015

    Marcella Hedwig Koerner, 84, of Pilot Point, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was born October 25, 1930 in Muenster, TX to Frank and Maria (Fleitman) Bindel. Marcella married William Koerner on May 3, 1949 in Muenster, TX. Marcella was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She is survived by her four sons, Leroy Koerner and wife Charlotte of Collinsville, Donnie Koerner and wife Elise of The Colony, Floyd Koerner and wife Kathy of Pilot Point, and Gary Koerner of Callisburg; two daughters, Linda Newton and husband Sid of Burleson and Sharon Stuckly and Larry of Pilot Point; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christopher Newton of Burleson; Travis, Molly, Katie, and Callie Koerner of Collinsville; Dustin Koerner and his fiancé Shea and son, Wyatt, of Portland, Oregon; Zachary Koerner of Dallas; Karli Koerner of Austin; Jessica and husband Clint Fuller of Round Rock; Kodi Koerner of Wichita, Kansas; Joe and wife Shawna Koerner and daughter, Kynlee, of Whitesboro; Rachel and husband Jimmy McMains and son, Hayden, and daughters, Haylee and Hynlee, of Callisburg; Sarah and husband Chris Luttmer and daughter, Madison of St. Jo; Jacob and wife Brittany Stuckly and son, Kade, and daughter, Kaclyn, of Pilot Point; Ethan and wife Dayla Stuckly of Victoria; and Devin Stuckly of Pilot Point. Marcella is also survived by her brother, Harold Bindel and wife Betty Jean of Muenster; and sister, Gertie Wimmer and husband Arnie of Muenster. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; four brothers, Wilfred, Gilbert, Leonard, and Gerald Bindel; sister, Adeline Livingston; and grandson, Chad Newton. A rosary will be held 7:00PM with visitation following until 8:30PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Pilot Point. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point with Msgr. Leon Duesman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
