Mary EveLyn McDavid, 82 of Little Elm, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at her residence. She was born to the late Robert E. Miller and Edith Sue Thomas Miller on September 22, 1939, in Thomaston, GA. Mary loved flowers. Her favorite flowers were pansies and yellow and white roses. She loved Christmas and always made Christmas and the holidays great for everyone. Mary had a very kind and giving heart. She would help anyone that needed it, even taking a few people off the streets who needed a place to stay for a while. Her most favored time was spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She will be missed by so many, never forgotten, and forever loved. She is survived by her sons, Bill Starks and John Starks; her daughters, Barbara Pickett and Gail Colsch; her grandchildren, Michele Paris, Kelly Pruitt, Brandon Starks, Dustin Starks, Heather Colsch, and Amanda Starks; her great-grandchildren, Kalyn Paris, Carson Paris, Allison Paris, Aubrey Pruitt, Emma Pruitt, Loomis Groves, Allie Dahl, Trinity Dahl and Eamon Fritz; her stepchildren, Sara Dixon and Terry McDavid. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott McDavid; her brother, Ralph Miller; her granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Pruitt and her stepdaughter, Sandra Sprinkle; and by her stepson, John McDavid. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Little Elm Cemetery, Little Elm, TX with Bradley R. Shotts officiating. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Slay Memorial Funeral Center Chapel, Aubrey.
