September 10, 1939 - February 5, 2021
Naomi Aaron, 81, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 in Denton, TX. She was born September 10, 1939 in Aubrey to H.A. “Harlen” and Opal (Brown) Redfearn. Naomi married LD Aaron on March 15, 1958 in Ardmore, OK. They made their home in Aubrey, where they raised cattle and farmed peanuts. She graduated from University of North Texas with a Master’s Degree in Math and Business. In 1975, she was hired by the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier in Aubrey. After 21 years of carrying mail, she retired to enjoy life and her family. Her husband of 48 years passed away in July 2005. She loved her family and she loved her three granddaughters and her great-grandson to the fullest. She was her great-grandson’s biggest fan during baseball season. She always told people she had to play twice as hard with Tanner, because he never got to meet his grandfather. It didn’t matter if it was a rodeo or baseball game, she was there – rain, coldest day of the year, or the hotest – she would cheer him on. She will be especially missed by her family and friends. Her only child, Teresa, says that Naomi was her best friend. They had a lot of fun together and Teresa will cherish that forever! Naomi is survived by her daughter, Teresa Woodruff of Aubrey, TX; sister, Shirley Gendreau of Aubrey, TX; brother, Charles L. Redfearn and wife Esta of Aubrey, TX; three granddaughters, Tina Jackson of Sanger, TX, Lisa Woodruff of Seagoville, TX, and Amanda Woodruff of Krugerville, TX; one great-grandson, Tanner Jay Jackson of Sanger, TX; two nephews, John Gendreau, Jr. of North Carolina and Charles Redfearn, Jr. and wife of Flower Mound, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, LD; infant son, Ronald Aaron; and her parents, H.A. and Opal. Visitation will be held 1:00PM-2:00PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Krugerville in Aubrey, TX and the funeral service will begin at 2:00PM with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
