    Rev. Paul Evans

    August 7, 1933 - July 21, 2013

    Rev. Paul Evans age 79 of Seymour, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, July 21, 2013. He passed away at his home with his family by his side. A visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM at Harvest Christian Fellowship on Main Street in Seymour, TX. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Also, a visitation will be Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Slay Memorial Funeral Center, in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, 1101 Audra Lane, Denton beginning at 1:30 PM with Rev. Randy Snow, Rev. Rick Dubose, and Rev. Weldon Burchett officiating. He will be laid to rest at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Paul was born August 7, 1933, to Archie and Ruby Evans of Denton County. He married Joyce Burchett on July 14, 1956 in Denton. He was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God for over 50 years. Paul served the Lord in many ways during these years. He along with his wife, Joyce, were missionaries in White River Arizona and other Indian tribes in Arizona, New Mexico and also in Honduras, Central America. After returning to the United States they pastored several churches. He also served in the US Army. He is survived by his wife Joyce Evans, son David Evans and wife Laura; daughter Theresa Ermis and husband Jason. His grandchildren have always been special to him, LaShone, Blake, Dustin, Wendy, Krystlyn, Jarrod, Evan, Aaron, Addison, Carly, Joe, and two great-grandchildren, Saddler and Annabelle. He is also survived by one sister Joyce Stone, two aunts Irene Vaughn and Evelyn Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
