Rey Garcia, 81, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 in Frisco, TX. He was born April 13, 1940 in Bastrop, TX to Narciso Garcia and Estefana Hernandez. Rey married Patricia Loera and they were married for 48 years. He served in the United States Army. Rey retired from the United States Postal Service where he had worked for over 40 years. He was a school bus driver for over 20 years for the Aubrey ISD. Rey loved NASCAR, football, and baseball. He enjoyed cars, driving, and building things. He really loved pecan pie and spending time with his family. Rey was a great, dependable man who was the rock of his family. Rey is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Patricia Owen, Eva Maldonado, Albert Garcia, Ana Canales, Javier Garcia, Raul Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Mary Lee Garcia, and Kaitlin Garcia; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Julio Garcia; and sister, Gloria Clark. He was preceded in death by parents, Narciso and Estefana; grandchild, Yeni Marisol Martinez; and brothers, Estevan Garcia and Frank Garcia. Visitation will be held 12:00PM-1:30PM, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Pilot Point, TX. Afterwards a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX with Fr. John Martin officiating.
