Richard ‘Dick’ Malcom Elmore, 92, of Geneva, FL, passed away peacefully Monday, November 30, 2020 in Oak Point, TX. He was born March 14, 1928 in Browns Summit, NC to Charles and Mabel (Lee) Elmore. Richard married (Jan) Janet Humphrey on November 17, 1955 in Anchorage, AK. He served in the Navy and then transferred into the Air Force from which he retired. He was a problem solver and needed to be busy. He later, worked and retired from the Seminole County School Maintenance Department. Dick was a devoted father, grandfather and Poppo to many. He had a passion for gardening and provided mountains of fresh grown vegetables to his local food bank. As an avid, life long sports fan he loved football and baseball but his true love was kids Little League and could not wait for their playoff seasons. Richard is survived by his son, Rick Elmore and wife Jeannie of Geneva, FL; his three daughters, Barbara Danforth of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Paula Pawlowski and husband Capt. Robert Pawlowski of Anchorage, AK, and Charlene Elmore of Oak Point, TX; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel; wife, Jan; son, Rick Parker; daughter, Mary Pearce; three brothers; and six sisters. He is best remembered by the Yates quote: “ There are no strangers here. Only friends you haven’t met yet. “ No services are scheduled at this time.
