Robert Bernard Thompson III, 53, of Ponder, TX, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Denton, TX. Robbie was born May 3, 1968 in Mamou, LA to Robert Bernard Thompson II and Sundra Kay Ann Guillory. Robbie was an LSU football fan and liked watching politics and FOX news. He was a simple man, who loved spending time with family. He enjoyed playing baseball with Tucker and watching movies and listening to music with Harper. He also enjoyed welding. He is survived by his mother, Kay; two children, Tucker Thompson and Harper Thompson and their mother, Beverly Kaye Thompson-Phillips; sister, Mandy Thompson; nephew, Noah LeFleur; niece, Shaley Brown; and goddaughter, Kristyn Marcantel. Robbie was preceded in death by his father, Robert. Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Denton County Cowboy Church in Ponder, TX. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Denton County Cowboy Church with Pastor Jamie McClain officiating. Interment will follow at Eakins Cemetery in Ponder, TX.
