Richard Cargile, 67, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Pilot Point, TX. Richard was born to James Donald Cargile and Loraine Laverne Cargile. Richard married Evelyn Rose Milleson Cargile in Whitesboro, TX on August 8, 2018. Richard was not just a machinist and car body man; he was a master craftsman whose skills knew no bounds. With an innate ability to create anything he put his mind to, he inspired those around him, especially his son, to follow in his footsteps as a body man. His passion for his craft was evident in every project he undertook, leaving a legacy of excellence and creativity. Richard cherished the simple pleasures in life. He loved firearms and all things shooting, yearly hunting and fishing with friends, and long walks and drives with his beloved wife. These moments were filled with laughter and connection, showcasing the joy that Richard gave everyone around him. While he was notorious for forgetting dates, Richard had an incredible gift for being present. He was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a helping hand or offer support to anyone in need. His willingness, paired with his smart wit and playful sense of humor, brought joy to those around him -making every interaction memorable. Richard is survived by his wife, Evelyn Rose Cargile, of Pilot Point, TX; mother, Loraine Laverne Cargile of Pilot Point, TX; son, Christopher Cargile and wife Katie, of Sanger, TX; daughter, Brandi Chandler and husband Coby of Pilot Point, TX; daughter, Tera Carnes and husband Jerry of Tioga, TX; step-son, Hunter Nobles of Thackerville, step-son Roman Nobles of Sherman, brother, James Cargile and wife Wanda of Pilot Point, TX; sister, Theresa Loftice of Pilot Point, TX, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one great grandchild. Richard is preceded in death by his father, James Donald Cargile, brother, Paul Leon Cargile, sister Tina Marie Lynch, and brother-in law Ricky Loftice. In remembering Richard, we celebrate a man who was not only skilled and passionate but also fun-loving. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he inspired and the memories he created.
